PRINT DESIGN - CREATIVE PORTFOLIO
ABOUT
Ellie Brown is a 2021 graduate from the University of Huddersfield with a BA (Hons) in Textile Practice who specialising in print design. This portfolio provides an insight to the broad body of work that she has created whilst studying.
During her third year at university, Ellie undertook a placement year, interning at Joules, Baxter Fawcett and Pattern Textiles.
ACHIEVEMENTS
1st PLACE IN JOULES LIVE INDUSTRY PROJECT
APRIL 2019
The brief was to create a collection of print deigns for Spring / Summer 2019 inspired by the British Seaside. I was awarded a 2 week placement with the Joules Print Design team.
2nd PLACE IN THE DUCHESS OF YORK APOTHECARY PROJECT
May 2018
The aim of the brief was to create a collection of designs for children's interiors inspired by the word 'Apothecary'.
The title of my collection was 'Blooming Botanicals' and I created two designs for children interiors. The Duchess commended me on my attention to detail and for thinking outside of the box in my interpretation of the brief by relating the florals to the alphabet for the development of children's early learning.
I was awarded 2nd place and received a letter of commendation
